The Dellecave Family has been serving Long Island's educators for over twenty years.
The Dellecave Institute offers In-Service Courses for Professional Development Credit, and Graduate Level Courses through Endicott College, Alfred University and Iona College. Other programs include New York State Coaching Certification, School Violence Prevention and Intervention Certification and Child Abuse Detection and Reporting Certification.
The Dellecave Institute is centrally located in Bohemia with 7 satellite sites throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Our Bohemia site features 5 new learning centered classrooms, and a Computer Lab equipped with 45 high speed internet computers that are available for course work and additional training. To better serve our students, there is an on-site business office with a director to assist with student needs.
An important key to success at Dellecave is our multi-talented instructional staff. Instructors teach a variety of disciplines based upon their qualifications, expertise and background experience. In addition to traditional courses covering all phases of Elementary, Secondary, Special, and other Administrative and Technical areas, new Graduate level and In-Service Professional Development Courses are continually developed to keep students informed, up to date and ahead of educational trends and practices.
At Dellecave, comprehensive classroom contact hours, assignments and reading of graduate caliber along with insightful discussions are a focus of our courses. Our instructors are also available to meet with students beyond the parameters of scheduled class hours. These meetings which are based upon need or interest can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time during the course of the semester. Such intensive and personalized interactions contribute to an exemplary teaching/learning environment and a scholarly professional cohort.
We take pride in living up to our Mission Statement. We are also proud of the "Educational Culture" we have built at Dellecave. Not only formal classroom learning goes on, but just as important is the interaction between students learning in an atmosphere that is both fun and functional for lifelong learners.
